Short term Cultural Experience

The short term program is offered from mid-September to mid-June for durations of one month to 4 months and is designed to give the student an English Immersion experience.  Students can take a break from their regular classes in their home countries, perhaps during summer or winter vacation.  Courses include ESL instruction and support (if required) and elective courses that include full interaction with Canadian students.  Please refer to our Entrance Requirements for this program.  Students can participate in this program without a study permit, but need a valid passport.

Full Year Academic Program

This is a year long program where students are fully integrated with Canadian students in core subjects as well as electives.  ESL class or support is still offered, however the student's English language proficiency should be at a sufficient level for the appropriate grade.  Students can tailor their studies to suit their individual interests and career goals. In addition to required courses, students can choose from a wide range of elective subjects in fine arts, accounting and applied skills.  Classes are based on the BC public school curriculum and includes the core subjects of English, mathematics, social studies (history), science and physical education. Please refer to our Entrance Requirements for this program.

1-3 Year Academic Program to Obtain a BC Graduation Certificate

This program is an opportunity for qualifying students to obtain a BC government Graduation Certificate.
While achieving full B.C. Ministry of Education requirements, students can take a variety of electives that allow the individual to stretch their creative abilities and God-given talent. The staff of St. Andrew’s deepen the learning experience of their students by inspiring values and a high level of achievement. Whether continuing on to college or university in Canada or elsewhere, or returning home to pursue other goals, St. Andrew's graduates benefit from a consistent, first-class academic program.  Please refer to our Entrance Requirements for this program.

This is how I explain what religion at this school teaches me. Sure I learn the history and analyze the Bible, but I also have been forming a set of morals and values that will go with me for the rest of my life. They are the foundation of who I am.
