St. louis college alumni scholarship

In May 2008, at a reunion of the graduating class of 1958, the alumni began a scholarship to recognize the long-term service of our teachers, the value of a Christian education and the importance of a teaching career. An initial eleven hundred dollars was placed in an endowment trust fund with the Catholic Independent Schools Diocese of Victoria. To begin with, this first endowment will provide $250 annually as one scholarship to be awarded in alternative years to a student from St. Andrew’s Elementary School and a student from St. Andrews Secondary School.

Can We Keep it Going?

The St. Louis College Alumni wish to establish a perpetual endowment fund, so that the annual scholarship that we have begun may continue through future years. It is our hope that you will be able to lend your support to this project by sending whatever contribution you can, either in lump sum or on an annual basis.

If your admiration for Victoria’s fine old pioneer school or your own memories of the Christian Brothers’ wonderful teaching prompts you to help in building the St. Louis College Alumni Scholarship, please send a cheque or money order to:

This is how I explain what religion at this school teaches me. Sure I learn the history and analyze the Bible, but I also have been forming a set of morals and values that will go with me for the rest of my life. They are the foundation of who I am.

I am very excited to be able to link my Olympic journey, full of trials and tribulations, back to a very important time and place in my life: St. Andrew's Regional High School.

I feel truly blessed to have had the privilege of attending St. Andrew’s Regional High School. St. Andrew’s has given me the opportunity to grow spiritually, academically, artistically, and athletically.
