Student Retreats
Grade level retreats take place every year at St. Andrew's Regional High School. Students in Grades 8 and 9 share a full day of reflection and friendship at Camp Pringle at Shawnigan Lake. In Grades 10 and 12, students go to Camp Imadene, near Duncan on Mesachie Lake, for a 2-night stay. The grade 11's attend the two-day Archdiocese of Vancouver's Annual Catholic Youth Conference held in May.
All students are expected to attend their grade level retreat and evaluations have always shown that students, of varied faith backgrounds, all experience spiritual growth and personal enrichment.
In addition to the grade level retreats, senior students in grade 10-12 are invited to attend the annual Archdiocese of Seattle Catholic Youth Conference in the fall - one of the most celebrated youth gatherings in the Pacific Northwest.
The retreats and conference trips are facilitated by Mr. Brock of the Religion Department with assistance from many staff members and former St. Andrew's alumni.
Students at St. Andrew's always look forward to their grade level retreats. As one student wrote on her retreat evaluation form, "This retreat has helped me through a lot and it is really nice to just have a day of fun and prayer with your friends."
